One World Romania Association (RO) aims to awake public interest concerning the human rights issue, its importance and its present-day character. The audience of the festival has more than doubled from 4000 people in 2009 to around 11000 attendees in 2017. Films were shown at middle schools, high schools and universities, but also in penitentiaries, at the National Institute for Magistracy and at the Ambulance Service in Bucharest, reaching a great variety of viewers' categories. Through public debates following each screening a more balanced perspective on foreign politics, social issues and local situations is offered to the young Romanian audiences.
